Armenian Agricultural Business Group, November 5-25, 2002

Ten interns from Armenia visited Iowa to learn about agriculture. They spent three weeks in a variety of agricultural businesses, they visited milk farms and cheese production facilities.

Andrank Chibukhchyan is from Yenokavan, Armenia. He is president of his own company and is the village mayor. He is married with three children Hamest (12), Jenya (9), and Ani (7). While in Newton he stayed with Donna & Nile McCoy. Aram Nigoyan is from Nuvar, Armenia. He is married, with two children Alyona (5) and Maria (3). His is General Director of company "Alyona-Maria" Ltd and he is the village mayor. He is very interested in sports and Physical Education. While in Newton he stayed with Jane & Carl Repp. Artsrun Nazaryan lives in Lusadzor, Armenia and is the president of "Tavush Farmers Association" NGO. He is married, with three children: Araksya (9), Gohar (5) and Gagik (9 months). While in Newton he stayed with Linda & Warren Erickson. Emma Hakobyan lives in Voskevan, Armenia. She is single. She was educated at Armenian Agricultural Institute and is currently her village mayor. While in Newton she stayed with Lea & Fred Chabot and Carol & Fritz Kramer. Emma is a fine singer and sang several Armenian Songs while in Newton. Evard Petrosyan is the president of "Anush and Gor" Ltd. He lives in Dilijan, Armenia and is educated as an engineer for contractors. He has two children Gor (9) & Anush (5). While in Newton, he stayed Margery & John Graves and Joan & Jim Tyler. Sasun Avetisyan lives in Vanadzor, Armenia. He is the credit agent for ACBA Bank. He is single. While in Newton he stayed with Donn & Nile McCoy. Arsen Mamyan lives in Noyemberyan, Armenia. He is a business consultant for "Yerevak". He is married and has two children: Sevine (5) and Narek (3). While in Newton he stayed with the Jane & Carl Repp family. He speaks English, Russian and Armenian. The Vahan Karapetyan is the executive director of "Tavush Agricultural Support Regional Centre". He lives in Ijeran, Armenia. He is married and has three children: Mher (18), Karen (17) and Taron (16). While in Newton he stayed with Margery & John Graves and Joan & Jim Tyler families. Zarmayil Mardanyan is the Regional Coordinator of Agribusiness. He lives in Granzakar, Armenia. He is married and has three children Mariam (4), Araks (3) and Gevorg (2). While in Newton he stayed with Jane & Carl Repp. Zoya Zurabyan lives in Berdavan, Armenia where she is the Mayor. She is married with two children: Arsen (18) and Gegham (15). While in Newton she stayed with Lea & Fred Chabot and Carol & Fritz Kramer familys.
